Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals is located
in the historic City of Quincy. Quincy, affectionately referred
to as the “City of Presidents” and the “Birthplace
of the American Dream”, is the birthplace of the second
and sixth Presidents of the United States of America – John
Adams and his son, John Quincy Adams.
Located adjacent to the funeral home, the Birthplaces
are part of the Adams National Historic Park Service and are recognized
as the oldest presidential birthplaces in the United States.
Just miles south of Boston, the City of Quincy
has served as an epicenter for industry and commerce. From the Granite
Railway, the first commercial railroad in the country, to the exquisite
stone cutting of Quincy granite, to the shipbuilding industry at
the former Fore River Shipyard, Quincy has been at the forefront
of American ingenuity and creativity.
